Omelets for protein rich diet

 

Healthy Spanish Omelette makes for a perfect breakfast every morning packed with proteins and other essential nutrients. This recipe takes just 10-15 minutes to cook. Moreover, this dish makes for a perfect post-workout protein meal.

Ingredients:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 sliced tomato
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 sliced mushroom
  • Salt as required
Recipe:
  1. Extract the egg white and whisk it with the whole egg. When it turns thick, milk, pepper and salt as per your requirement.
  2. Place a non-stick pan on medium flame, pour a portion of the egg white mixture and roll over to the surface of the pan.
  3. Sprinkle the veggies (onion, tomato and mushroom) on top of it and press gently.
  4. Now cover the pan with a lid and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on a low flame till the vegetables get steamed. Remove the lid and flip the side of the omelette. Cook till it turns golden brown.
  5. Have it while it’s still hot with toasted bread.
